A. Visiting Pasha A.R.C.:
Where are you located?
The Center is located in Belgrade, Serbia.
Can I visit the Center?
Yes! Please contact pashaarc22@gmail.com to schedule a visit. If you are traveling from outside of Serbia, you must follow the country’s travel guidelines. Please check Serbia’s latest travel guidelines HERE as well as your country’s embassy pages.
B. Process for fostering with Pasha A.R.C.:
Do you allow fostering outside of Serbia?
Yes! We work with fosters from most EU countries, Switzerland, the UK; and are looking at branching out to US and Canada. We are constantly looking to partner with "foster to adopt" rescues in other countries to get our deserving furry companions adopted.
How do I foster or foster-to-adopt one of your rescue pets?
i. The first step is to fill out the Foster Application. Please allow our volunteers 30-60 business days to process your application. The process includes reviewing your application, checking references, conducting a virtual or in-person interview, and securing a rescue partner or intermediary in your who could provide support on our behalf should issues arise once the pet is in your care.
ii. After that, we will work with you to find the best foster match. Once the match is agreed upon, you’ll sign the Foster Contract.
iii. Fosters are not required to pay for travel documents. However, if they adopt their foster pet eventually, they must reimburse Pasha A.R.C. €185 to cover the cost of their new pet’s travel documents and their spay/neuter procedure.
Are your rescue animals vaccinated? Do they need to be quarantined?
i. Your foster pet will be spay/neutered, microchipped and vaccinated, which will include rabies vaccination. A blood sample will be sent to an external lab for rabies titer testing 14 days post vaccination.
Fosters in Serbia - you can bring your foster pet home once we receive a rabies-free titer test.
International fosters - your foster pet will be eligible for travel at least 90 days after a rabies-free titer test. You will be furnished with their rabies titer test results and pet passport, which includes their date of birth, microchip info, vaccination record. (Proof of tapeworm treatment prior to arrival - required for UK only.)
If I don’t live in Serbia, how do I get a foster pet from you?
i. If you can’t travel to Belgrade to pick up your foster pet - no worries! Our team will prepare your pet for transport. Depending on your location, this is a process that can take between >90-120 days because:
Post rabies titer testing, there is a minimum wait period of 90 days for pets traveling out of Serbia.
We rely on German and U.K. volunteers and transport companies to get our animals across the border. Timing for transport depends entirely on their availability and travel route. The journey usually requires multiple connections between ground transport and air transport.
ii. Fosters are not required to pay for transport. However, if they decide to adopt their foster pet eventually, they must reimburse Pasha A.R.C. for their pet’s transportation (which may include ground and air transport) and any border-crossing fees.
iii. Does my foster pet have to be quarantined upon arriving in my country?
Every country is different, so please make sure to check your country’s travel requirements. At this time, most countries that are part of the European Union, most states in the US (except Hawaii and the U.S. territory of Guam), the UK, Canada and Mexico do not require additional quarantine for inbound dogs and cats.

C. About our Available Pets:
What animals do you have available for fostering?
You can browse our available pets HERE. We usually have around 15-20 animals at the center - that number changes frequently as new rescues arrive or get transferred out when they’re ready.
How can I meet an available pet in person?

Are your dogs neutered/spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped?
Yes, all dogs receive the following vet care before being cleared for fostering or adoption:
Testing and treatment for heartworms and other parasitic worms, canine parvovirus, distemper, infectious canine hepatitis, kennel cough and canine parainfluenza.
Vanguard Plus 5 and rabies vaccination.
Treated for injuries which may include surgical intervention.
Microchipped.
Neutered/Spayed (unless too young or medically inadvisable).
Information about our rescue pets:
Because most of our rescue pets were stray animals, we do not have their vetting history pre-rescue. Therefore, their age, breed mix, health and temperament are best guesses and/or based on our vet’s observations during their time in rescue. Please note that we cannot guarantee the accuracy of any rescue pet’s biographical information.
